NYT bestselling co-authors Janet Bray Attwood and her ex-husband, best friend and business partner Chris Attwood of “The Passion Test” created a fabulous online version of their book. It’s fun and easy to use. It’s an automated version of what they teach in the book.
Basically you are led through the steps of writing down your top passions in life without worrying about the “how.” Each passion begins with an action word like “Enjoying”, “Being”, “Having”, “Meeting”, “Traveling” “Speaking”, etc.
Just to give you a flavor of some of my top passions, I’ve written down the following:
1. Having fun, fun, fun with everything I do.
2. Living in a beautiful home where I feel peaceful and calm.
3. Speaking with confidence and articulation at speaking gigs all over the world
4. Flying my own plane to speaking engagements
The key to writing down your passions is not to censor anything that you think of – again don’t worry about the “how” or whether it’ll be “realistic.” I once told my parents I wanted to be a pilot and they said it wasn’t realistic. The same thing happened when I told others about becoming the world’s first deaf instrument-rated pilot. “Impossible!” they said. When I interviewed for the stockbroker position at financial giant Merrill Lynch, all the top producing stockbrokers who I met told me I’d be better off in a 9 to 5 job. I ended up getting hired and went on to make six-figures, was interviewed on CNN and traveled to exotic places as a result of winning sales contests!
Realistic?
Of course!
If you can dream it, you can achieve it!
What’s really cool is that you don’t have to worry about the “how” because that’s the universe’s job – not yours. Just focus on your passions and the rest will take care of itself. The key is to pay attention to your inner feelings. Imagine how you’d “be” while enjoying any number of passions.
Once you write down ten or fifteen passions, you’re then ready to go through a process that will ferret out the top 5. Don’t worry, you won’t lose any of the others that you’ve written but these top will be your main focus. In fact, you’ll be printing out cards to carry around with you and posting them throughout prominent spots in your home. Seeing them on a daily basis will help metabolize your mind. The more you look at them, the more your inner reservoir of intelligence will lead you to the eventual manifestation of those passions. The universe will coordinate what needs to be done in order for you to move closer to those dreams.
After you’re done creating your top 5 passions, you’ll then be asked to write your 100th birthday speech – how cool is that!?!?
Try it at no cost for 30 days right here. You’ll be amazed!
