Stephen I know all to well that if you set your mind to something then it will happen. you seem to have this inner peace that drives you. I sometimes wish I had all your energy! I do wish I had some $$$ to give ya. Being a mom to 2 kids and my oldest with Aspergers I find little left to spare. maybe in the near future. my husband stays home to take care of the kids and I work. so you can imagine there is little left over. but I will share your plight with others.

Yes, it’s brave indeed but I’m excited and determined. I’ve already put it out there via Facebook and Twitter and plan to drop such messages every so often throughout the rest of the year to remind people what I’m up to. Thanks!

I’ll certainly look into the scholarship you mentioned. I’ll probably have to join to be eligible since I’m not a member (I used to be years ago though).

Thanks Deb! Yes, I’ve contacted the admissions department about scholarships. They have a very small fund but I will be applying because every little bit helps.

Awesome Stephen! I unfortunately have nothing to contribute for the specific knowledge you seek – but I do know that Santa Monica is a fairly health conscious area, and I am sure there is a *huge* demand for motivational speakers there.

Though there’s nothing I can contribute, I support you and I am excited about this new direction for you. I had noticed you weren’t writing as regularly as in the past, and I wondered what was going on.

I’m sorry, I don’t know anyone in Santa Monica. Try “advertising” in your status message on your FB or post a FB note.

Btw, try the Alexander Graham Bell scholarship. I would suggest to include in your essay something about deafness and your contribution to it, etc.
