I knew you would enjoy "meeting" Philip!

That's what it takes - an inner decision to make a fundamental change to forever alter the rest of his life. He was one of the first people I discovered when I began the raw food lifestyle and he continues to inspire me with his accomplishments.

I expect to be meeting him when I go to New York City for a long overdue visit in 2009.

Divine health is the key to happiness, health and wealth. I just realized the other day that in order for us to enjoy life to the fullest, get closer to the Divine is by first having health. Then all else flows from there. Amazing revelation!

Thanks for your contribution - you are an amazing woman. I hope we will meet when I go to my brother's in VA for Christmas in a few weeks.

Stephen,

Thanks again for shedding the spotlight Phillip, an awesome human being! I was inspired by his journey and encouraged by his fortitude to change his life and become the person he knew himself to be.

It is as though he has made an inner resitution to himself and it has opened the gateway to the life of his dreams, living on purpose and in the moment.

It gives me courage to face this head on in my own life and an example of how it can happen with firm commitment and one step at a time. Thanks again for shifting the focus to enjoying divine health and all of its benefits. Many of us have taken baby steps or even leaps while following your journey and people like Phillip.

This is more than a blog...it's life (and health) improvement!

I can sense the love in the guy too. Have you seen his videos and photos over at his blog? See if you can also see the inner radiance shining. It's absolutely incredible. This is a common tendency among raw foodists. Their eyes shine brilliantly and faces glow. It's awesome.

Jennifer! I had NO idea you began making green smoothies because of my journey! Wow, what an inspiration to know this. Man, that makes my day, you know? To know that you felt inspired to give it a try because I wrote about it is incredibly empowering. Thanks for telling me. :)

Ok, I'll ask him if he has anything that reminds him of the old Phil - actually, I recently saw him on "The Doctors" TV show where he came out on stage with a pair of pants he once wore. The moment he stepped out on stage with those pants, I began to tear up with joy for the man.

I expect to be going to New York City, my old stomping grounds, for a reunion with some of my old friends. While I'm there, I plan to connect with Philip and others from the raw food community - can't wait!

Philip does have a lot of love, doesn't he! I can sense it very strongly. What an inspiration he is to others and I know that is bringing him a lot of joy.

Stephen, you have been an inspiration to me with this raw food journey of yours. I even copied and pasted your green smoothie recipe from several posts back and have been making one most every morning. It's a little different every day, but surprisingly pretty good. I don't know If I'll go 100% raw or anything, but it's helping me to move in a better direction with my eating. I was already health conscious, but this is helping me to be more so. Thanks Stephen. Looks like now I have a great resource to learn more with Philip's blog.

When you meet him next time, ask him if he has anything that reminds him of the old Phil? I bet he has a pair of pants that is just hanging in his closet to remind him of his old days.

Yes, "meeting" Phil was definitely a highlight for me this year. Can you imagine lugging around 400 pounds only to be half that a few years later? Amazing! I remember Oprah once pulled out on a wagon a big, huge piece of beef enclosed in a plastic bag and her saying something like "That thing weighs XXX lbs - that's how much I lost!" I'll never forget the image.

Stephen, I read both of your parts of the interview with Philip. I want to thank you for posting this up because "meeting" Philip was an inspiration to me. Like yourself, I have been watching my weight increase and I think it's about time to take action.

I enjoyed "meeting" Philip through this interview. I especially love the "I learned not to give a shit what other people think of me." I came to that conclusion shortly after my second child was born and it changed the way I approached life.
