Heya Stephen

I always print your posts so I can read it all the way home in public transport. But haven't really had the chance to post my comments as it has been busy here at work.

Until now. I have been following your Raw Food journey and I have to say it is quite fascinating reading your experiences. I can say you are positively glowing indeed and it shows!

You really are an inspiration to me (and others i am sure!) and I intend to look into raw food diet although I grew up hating healthy food I have made some progress but not as much as I'd like, I resolve to look more into the raw food diet. Then you posted the interview with Philip McCluskey which I have printed and well I will post the comments on that.

Anyways, I hope this may help me stop with the chocolate addicition!

Your trip sounded like a fun and interesting experience.

All your experiences shows that God indeed does have plan for us. This was confirmed when I had another angelic experience recently - I will post my comments in one of your threads (How to have a Conversation with God and Your angels) I think you will love it.

So much so when I went for a walk yesterday I decided "Okay, God, I now allow you to help me with my journey and be the best person I want to be" and suddenly I could feel my angels and spirit guides around me happy and I could not believe how happy I felt right away.

This is just the start. All I know is things are changing and and I got so much to learn. I am finally happy to let God and my angels guide me.

Stephen thank you!

Cool! Thanks for sharing. I love learning about what others put in their blenders. It's like wanting to see the insides of a person's home. Isn't that funny?

In an upcoming blog post at some point, I'm going to write about how this journey has caused or helped me rely on my intuition more and more. What that means is when I get up in the morning to make my green smoothie, while I throw in the same base (green leafy vegetable like spinach or kale) and banana, the other ingredients vary according to whatever I'm feeling I should do. Therefore, no two smoothies are the same. They're "similiar" but not exactly the same.

Some days my smoothie is thick while others are thinner/watery.

You ask what I am putting in the blender, it is different combinations, usually I use banana, grapes, fresh orange from my tree, always frozen spinach and a small amount of rice or almond milk. I vary it with berries, bee pollen, peaches, applesauce etc. I tried Montel's lettuce one, but I do not own a vitamix so it was not too great.
=)
Thanks for including my link for charity.

I'm so glad to "meet" another raw foodist! I can't wait to check out your blog and get to know you more.

How I got started is a long story but I'll be happy to tell you in a nutshell how I got started. First of all, have you ever heard of Toastmasters? I recommend you get yourself in a local club to get your nuts and bolts of speaking together with their help and support.

Then I'd go out and speak to civic clubs like Kiwanis, Lion's, Rotary, etc. They don't pay but they're always looking for speakers. Usually they'll "pay" you with a meal so you'll never be starving but I can see how that might be a challenge since you're a raw foodist. When I first started, I was not into raw foods at all (10 years ago).

Then I created a website and began to build a business after leaving Wall Street in the late 90's. It takes a very long time to get your name out there unless you have a savvy marketer helping you (or if you're one yourself).

The key is to get as much practice as you can, speak from the heart, be authentic and do not be the "jack of all trades." Turn yourself into an expert on a particular area. Write articles and get them into places like ezine articles dot com. Get yourself known through social media circles like Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Plant seeds and just keep going! That's my advice.

And yes, stay raw...now off to check your blog and find out exactly who you are and what you're up to in the raw world! Thanks for contacting me.

Hello Stephen!
I saw on we like it raw that you are a motivational speaker.
I would like to become one, I have quite a story to tell and have always loved public speaking. Do you have an agent or are you strictly freelance?
How do you get gigs?
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
stay raw!

Alkaline water? Your comment is absolutely amazing, you know why? Because a good friend of mine has been educating me on the value of purchasing a rather expensive water machine that works with tap water which allows you to adjust the PH level in the water you drink! Amazing! Could this be a sign from the universe that I need to look into this (especially since you did not know about my friend's water machine). Hmmmm....

Little by little is definitely the key - one step at a time - like I said in the post, it's not an overnight crash diet - it's a lifelong thing. NO rush.

And so you don't like that cake photo huh? Hahaha. Okay, fine, you will take me to an Italian resturant and force feed me that Tiramisu dessert AFTER eating a raw meal? OMG, you are so mean. LOL. You're hilarious too - you crack me up. Oh boy.

Can't wait to see you during the Christmas holidays when I visit my brother in VA. It'll be here sooner than you think. Time flying by fast these days.

One more thing, Stephen, to be honest with you, I'm getting a bit tired of seeing that "cake" photo in your gratitude posts!!

So, what I am going to do is when you come down here to visit your brother during X-mas, I am going to take you to an Italian restaurant (after eating our "raw" lunch, that is) and take a photo of it before EATING that Tiramisu dessert!! I will be satisfied for once and all! ;)

As usual, I always enjoy reading your posts, Stephen, while I am "eating" my frozen fruit smoothie like a snow cone! :)

So, what will you drink now? Why don't you try alkaline water?? I guess you'll have to buy a machine for that. I read that even the spring/filtered water has acid in it, possibly the reason you did not like the taste.

I am trying to get back on track after straying a bit too much and getting sick last week... little by little.
