I didn't know Walmart had juicers. They're probably cheaper than top of the line brands and as a result, it might be a good idea for me to check it out and try it on the cheap, just to see how it goes and then upgrade to a more expensive, sturdy brand. Thanks for telling me. I'll go to Walmart today to see if they have one. (I had no idea!)

Stephen, the juicer that I bought came from Walmart and is a Juiceman, Jr. Model JM400. I had about 4 brands to choose from and the only Juiceman was the only brand that I was familiar with. The blender is one that I have owned for several years---Hamilton Beach, also from Walmart. I haven't tried wheatgrass yet. I do know from reading that it is more difficult to juice.

Thanks Lance for your continuing support - I'm delighted to have you with us here at Adversity University. Now that I'm back from London, I have even more things to be grateful for, especially the willingness to make the last minute decision to go over there and enjoy myself for a full week of sightseeing and meeting new people.

I'm operating on London time - woke up at 4 am (which was 9 am in London) and still going strong on the computer at 7:00 pm (midnight in London - my God - where did the time go??).

While you wrote this comment, I was traveling to London and this is the first chance I've had to respond back to you personally.

Yes, it is amazing when things flow so smoothly, especially when making a last-minute seemingly irrational decision to hop on a plane and go to London for a whole week!

Congratulations on your new raw food journey - I'm so excited to hear you're doing well on this new lifestyle!! You seem to be on a natural high - one of the many benefits of going raw. That's great! I see your energy levels being high as well. That's one of the most frequently reported results of people going raw - their energy levels shoot right through the roof.

This is because your body is responding to the natural foods it was created to absorb and letting you know about it. It's rewarding you with high energy after years of eating whatever you used to eat.

Haha, I had to smile about the you putting the unpeeled orange in the juicer. What kind of juicer did you buy? Did you also get yourself a blender? I am planning to add to my raw food kitchen a juicer. Have you tried juicing wheatgrass yet? It takes a special juicer to handle that stuff. Where did you buy the juicer?

When you left this comment, I was on my way to London and now that I'm back a week later (arrived yesterday), this is the first time I've had a chance to respond to you.

Congratulations on feeling energetic with a sharper mind as a result of eating more raw food. I'm delighted and excited! Keep your eyes open for another blog I am creating to focus exclusively on my raw food journey. I think you'll find it inspiring and uplifting.

Well, Sid, I am back to America again and just finished writing a post about my week long experience - I think you'll enjoy it. It took me forever to write it!

Thanks Barbara - it's been a while since I saw you - it's time for a get together soon, don't you think?

Best wishes with leading a more defined eating lifestyle - I'd be happy to share my experiences with you in person if you're interested.

Thanks Marc - I just got back last night and spent the entire day writing a post about my experience. You can check it out anytime now - I titled it "How Making an Irrational, Last Minute Decision Can Change Your Life." I think you'll enjoy it. I have a few photos in that post with many more over at Facebook. I had such a hard time formatting the photos that I ended up deleting them here and posting them at FB.

Wow seems like London is the place to be! A few of my friends decided to impulsively go to London and Ireland in a few weeks. They get to go see a Liverpool game at home. So Jealous. Hope you have a great time!
