I remember having my windshield replaced when I was in Michigan. My insurance company (State Farm) took care of it but I remember the company’s name as being something like Guardian. They are pretty well known and they did a great job. Came to my place, took out the old window and put in the new one, right in the parking lot!

I have learnt about Randy Pausch from your post, and went on to check out the Last Lecture…. and of course, ended up postponing all i have planned for this morning and watching Randy’s talk… Stephen, Thank-You for being the person in my life who “introduced” me to this incredible man… He would not want us to mourn… but he knows that one more soul here in this world is sending him love and gratitude and one more soul is confident of making a difference due to his words. You’re right about CommentLuv - despite the “giving back” nature, it hogs way too much room in the database - luckily it took a malfunction (some commentators were having their last blog parsed while others weren’t) to recognize this. Glad I didn’t let it go on much longer b/c my database was starting to get bloated.

You bet - amazing is probably an understatement! Thanks for the compliment about the PicLens Slideshow. There’s a great plug in for that and I’m thrilled with it. I’m a very visual person and this is a way to make the blog a bit more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Oh yes, you’re right about that! FREAKY. Almost surreal, as if I were in some kind of cosmic movie or something. But all is well - I’m grateful that all parties were calm and collected.

Even my insurance company got right on the case and said “we’ll take care of it for you.”

And you know what? While I’ve inquired into the impact this will have on my rates, I’m surprisingly not worried or anxious about it. I’m taking it as it comes. Love feeling this way.
