That quote is extremely powerful – it is the true test of friendship. That’s when you find out more about the person you hadn’t known about before and the subsequent reaction.

I don’t know how I can top this one either!

Isn’t it great that you felt compelled to share your gratitude list with us? Think just how powerful that is because when you share anything on the Internet, the impact is magnified many times over b/c of the far reaching ability of the Internet. The more people who know about your gratitude, the more power you give to the universe to continue to give you more.

Gratitude is what the universe “hears” and gives more to you. The universe is like a mirror. It gives back what you give out.

I’m grateful to my friend Staci for telling me about the job opening that I will be interviewing for. And I am grateful that my 18-month old will not have to have surgery which I learned yesterday! Yay!

I’m grateful for reading your great gratitude post. Reading about the honesty of the woman who hit your car and then the awesome body shop manager really made me happy. I love coming into contact with people who love what they do.

I’m also feeling grateful for the fact that even though I have been working as a freelancer and stay-at-home mom for the last seven or eight years I still have enough going on to get an interview for a senior writer position at a non-profit organization.

And they liked me enough to alter their plans for hiring a full-time person and consider me for a part-time or contract from home position. That does wonders for my confidence as a writer.

When you click on the link to the Forbes article, you’ll get an advertisement which you need to clear through (simply click on something like “Skip this screen.”) and you’ll see the article. It’s annoying – those darn advertisements. Jeez.

I’m glad the fender bender had a happy ending too. I’d like to believe this is the law of attraction at its best. What you put out, you get back.

There are still honorable people in the world. We don’t hear about them much on the news.

Oh really? I guess I’ve never seen cartoons of people like the one I did for myself. Well, it’s fun, isn’t it? I’ll have to go and look at your Facebook profile and see if I can find yours.

The “Life 101 Tip: Control Your Emotions” was a phrase I was using but it so happens that there’s actually a book with that title that I read a week or two ago. And it so happens that it mentioned the value of controlling your emotions when confronted with an ugly situation like the car fender bender.

Great idea about connecting with others when you work from home. I need to do more of that. When you are doing what you love it is so easy to travel into internet land or get caught up with writing, blogging, consulting or planning and a whole month has passed! I’m borrowing that idea and scheduling it in.

We all have much to be grateful for and if things do go wrong or when we feel the deck may be stacked against us, my mantra is “Flip the Script” and turn it around.
