I totally agree with you that there was a silver lining behind 9/11. We definitely needed the outpouring of compassion – it’s just too bad it takes a major event like that to bring people together, if only temporarily.

I’m glad, really glad that you are enjoying my interview series. I aim to make them as interesting as possible – a place where other bloggers can be seen and heard.

Next week’s interview is with a blogger from Denmark who truly believes happiness in the workplace is possible.

So you already met her last year? Cool! Wasn’t her article about following the heart powerful or what? I LOVE stories like that. It reminds me to keep going and not give up faith.

It’s like that fable of the “little engine that could.” How could anyone in their right mind not be touched by a story similar to that?

It’s going to be a very interesting weekend when I’m at SOBCon08 because I’ll have an opportunity to meet and greet people who are passionate with what they do. It’s a privilege to connect with people like Wendy and others. I feel fortunate to have interviewed her because she exhibits authenticity, which is so important. Meeting people like her reminds me how we are connected spiritually.

Ah, thanks for refreshing my memory. The answer is that while 9/11 was tragic, I chose to see the regrouping of America, people coming together and supporting one another as the silver lining. It’s unfortunate that it takes a major crisis to bring people together but that’s the silver lining behind that situation.

Even if America banded together was only temporary (every one went back to the “same old, same old”), it gave everyone a chance to see that we really connected in the spirit.

You are a doll! I just returned from my trip to Las Vegas to find a handful of terrific responses to this interview. Looks like you gained a new stream of readers for your blog – congrats!

Can’t wait to see you at SOBCon08 either! BTW, while I was in Las Vegas giving a keynote address, you were at the Small Business Marketing Unleashed Conference – how did that go?
