I personally believe God does intervene in various ways - he does show his Love, power and grace in mysterious ways. I believe God is in everything we see - the good and the bad. Everything happens for a reason. I applaud people for their own belief system - if it supports them and makes them happy, I'm glad for it. I have no desire to prove anyone wrong with my beliefs. I've personally experienced many things that have been wonderful in my life all of which prove to me that there is a God and that God wants nothing but the best for all of us. I personally believe God does intervene in various ways – he does show his Love, power and grace in mysterious ways. I believe God is in everything we see – the good and the bad. Everything happens for a reason.

I’ve personally experienced many things that have been wonderful in my life all of which prove to me that there is a God and that God wants nothing but the best for all of us. I believe in my faith, and want to do my best to live the life. I just don't get the concept of the "leap of faith" when your lord will not even indirectly speak to you. The folks who sling arrows at my faith, tell me that it isnt real because I have no empiracle evidence that he is there and that he is the saviour of the world. On my many good days, I say that the lord indicated that he has given humans free will and we will be judged accordingly. On the days when my faith is comprimized by an event , I start thinking that the faith thing might be made up in history by a political entity that wants to control people. It is hard having blind faith, given the fact that the only evidence that I have to point to is the beauty of the earth and the symitry. I have attempted to live a Christian life. If I die and don't wake up to either heaven or hell, I guess I won't be pissed off in any event. My question to the blog is, Why do you think that God never definitively intervenes in your live in a way that has no other source than him? Why didn't the bible get specific as to where we go and what we do after we are dead and the good guys. Why did religious control as a political mechanism start at the same time. It's been 2k years since Jesus promised to come back. He hasn't shown himself in the saviour sense or a miracle worker since. How can I as a human justify him as a loving and benevolant saviour when I see all the pain and suffering in the world. They are concerned about the possibility of an upheaval that would jeapordize their wealth. What did they do to subdue the masses. A friend gave me this suggestion of lighting a candle and peering through mostly closed eyes and staring at the candlelight for the longest time and just focusing on that. It's hard to tell sometimes whether we are hearing our own thoughts or thoughts of the angels/God. What I keep reading in different books about this subject is that if you hear something that contains joy, love and is of the highest good, then that's the spirit/God communicating with you. The key, like you said, is to become more attuned to what we sense and feel and trust them. I'm very aware of my own body's feelings that I follow what it wants me to do. A small example would be I'd be up reading on my couch and then my body starts to get uncomfortable and itchy. I've learned that my body is telling me it's time for bed! So I close the book, get up and go to bed! It's that simple!
