I was mesmerized when I first saw this video. Then I thought to myself, if anyone knows the meaning of adversity, it would have to be this person.

Wasn’t that a poignant video? That young man is determined as heck to make an impact on the world. Did you see his website? It’s awesome.

It’s about perspective. I look at him and I say, “I’m grateful I can walk, use my hands to brush my teeth, etc.” And while I’m grateful, I’m also tremendously inspired by people like him because he reminds me to keep the faith and stay the course towards my dreams.

On the flip side, people look at me with my deafness and say, “Gosh, I’m grateful I can hear.” When people hear me speak, they are inspired and end up reaffirming to themselves that they are worthy of success, love and everything else we need.

Interesting, isn’t it?
