It's a tad late but I am here again! I wish you all the best in 2009 and hope you and yours have a fabulous holiday season whether you celebrate in a Christian or Jewish fashion. I just wanted to share with you that I have gotten so over my past that I burned my High School Diploma today!!! YES, I BURNED IT!!! AND I am orgasmic! The only school that ever treated me like a "mensch" who had something of value to add to the seminar at hand was The University of Mannheim (Germany). Even my US alma-mater Clemson University didn't match up! But you seem to value my input....thanks!!!

I truly appreciate your wonderfully warm good wishes. Thanks for stopping by Dax and voicing your support. The biggest lesson is learning that what others think of you, especially when you're barreling towards the future with a dream, is none of your business.

The more we worry about what others think of us, the less likely we'll move forward for fear of what they might say about us, etc.

Thanks Dax for stopping in and by the way, WELCOME to Adversity University! I'm glad you found us through this article. Congrats on not allowing naysayers to have hold in your life. It's quite liberating to steer clear of them, isn't it?

I'm glad you felt my stories came from the heart - that means a lot to me. I really enjoy writing and sharing. Hope to see you again soon.

I loved your posting and you are right. I wish you all the luck and success in your endeavors because they come from your heart! I have allowed some of these nay-sayers to affect my life, but that was in the past. I have now taken a no-hold-barred attitude to everything

Wow!!! This must have been before I started reading your blog. I have an article that I wrote back in August 2007 entitled "What Other People Think About You Is None Of Your Business." For me it was a bit of wisdom that came from a dear friend of mine and a comment from my oldest granddaughter reminded me of it.

Patricia - Spiritual Journey Of A Lightworkers last blog post..<a href="http://patriciasingleton.blogspot.com/2008/06/using-your-pain-to-live-your-divine.html">Using Your Pain To Live Your Divine Purpose</a>

[...] Today I want to challenge myself (and you) to have the courage to step out and feel the freedom of saying what you want to say without worrying about how others might react. This complements an article I once wrote at my blog entitled “What Others Think of You is None of Your Business!” [...]
