Patricia:

Flying at night is an incredible sensation, especially if you're the pilot. The night air is usually smooth with nary a bump and you're presented with a visual symphony unmatched by anything else you've seen. It's one of God's gift to us. It also makes us realize just how big the earth is - seeing sprawling lights crisscrossing all over the place is just astounding. I love it!

Doug:

That's one way of looking at it, indeed! I'm fond of saying that everything that life hands you is a matter of perception and I've chosen to adopt similiar views to those of yours David.

Thanks for sharing!

Stephen is blessed to be missing his hearing. This allows him to have his solitude in which to attend to seeing
the words on the page that he writes and that others write to him. Always, when one is missing a faculty, This means that a higher faculty is replacing it. The faculty he has gained then is that of "hearing" the voice of spirit.
It's much like being able to "see" the face of a loved one in your minds eye, which is an ability I have.---Doug

I have news for all of you. As Jesus is quoted as saying,
"the kingdom of Heaven is within you" (as your spirit self). We are, in reality, carrying Heaven around with us.
All we need to do is to acknowledge the fact and "LET" it
be. This is what was meant when christ admonished us to
create Heaven on earth. The place we go to when the body passes away is another dimension where the spirit is liberated in order to have its natural freedom. It is still true that we will go to another place, A non physical place of higher vibration. And the style in which we travel there is how we conduct our thinking
in this realm as we travel through life toward our destination at the speed of eternal light.---Doug

One of the sights that I really enjoy about my trips to India is just before landing when the plane goes low enough to see the cities that we are flying over. It is always early morning around 2:00 a.m. when we land in Mumbai and Bangalore. City lights at night are always gorgeous.

Doug:

That's very funny! Thanks for sharing your sense of humor.

Sure, imagine this to be like arriving to heaven. Wow, I love that. That's a great title for this post. Thanks for giving me the idea. Makes things more interesting.

I shall rename this post: "Going to Heaven, in style." How's that?

Yes, and is that what it's like going to Heaven?
And then you land and are greeted by others and they escort you to a waiting vehicle that whisks you away
to a party? And you find that everything is like you had always dreamed it would be? Home at last and no more human follies and foolishness? ------Blog about Heaven---Doug

Robert:

It's actually a gorgeous thing to see when you're flying "blind" for a while only to break out and see the runway in front of you. It's a most exhilarating experience.

Thanks for stopping by - glad you enjoyed that one. :)

What a great image of that eureka! moment! I've never flown in the clouds (except by accident in a sailplane), but I can imagine it's much like that moment when suddenly all things become clear and the goal is in sight! Wow!

This view brought back some memories, though, Stephen - especially the one where I thought, "I gotta land on that?! :-D
